From First Sketch to First Swim
Here's exactly what to expect when you build with Nautica. We walk you through every step.
1. Design Meeting: We sit down, listen to your vision, and design your pool together — pool, spa, slide, diving board, features and all.
2. Proposal & Agreement: Once you're happy with the plan, we finalize the contract and deposit. Pricing is clear and upfront.
3. Permits & Approvals: We prepare the construction drawings and handle city permits and your HOA approval (if needed). You don't chase paperwork — we do.
4. Layout & Your Sign-Off: Before we move any dirt, we lay out the design on-site so you can see exactly where everything will go. Nothing breaks ground until you've signed off on the placement.
5. Excavation: Digging begins. We excavate the shape and haul away all dirt and debris.
6. Steel & Plumbing: Our steel and plumbing crews set the rebar structure, run the plumbing lines, and build the forms.
7. Pre-Gunite Inspections: Before the shell goes in, we handle the required inspections — including electrical bonding and lighting — so the structure is right from the ground up.
8. Gunite Application: The gunite shell is sprayed and cured. This is the structural heart of your pool, and it's done with care.
9. Tile, Coping & Decking: Waterline tile goes in, travertine coping is set, and the deck takes shape — concrete poured, then finished in spray-crete or travertine stone. Water features and cosmetic details come together here.
10. Equipment & Plaster: We install your Pentair equipment, get everything dialed in, and apply the plaster finish.
11. Fill & Startup: You fill your new pool and we start the system and balance the water.
12. Pool School: Once your pool is ready, we sit down with you for Pool School — a hands-on walkthrough of how all your equipment works, so you start ownership confident and in control.
