Design, Timeline & Process

  • A typical custom gunite build runs about 2.5 to 3 months from groundbreaking. Because we limit how many pools we build at once, your timeline stays on track instead of getting bumped for someone else's project.

  • Gunite pools are built entirely on-site in phases, so a few things outside anyone's control can shift the schedule — mainly weather (heavy rain means the ground needs time to dry before crews can work), permit processing, inspection scheduling, and the complexity of your design. We keep you informed at every step so you always know where things stand.

  • Yes. For new construction, we prepare the construction drawings and handle the city permit and your HOA submission. You don't chase paperwork — that's our job.

  • Gunite gives you almost complete design freedom — virtually any shape, size, or style. Whatever you can picture for your backyard, bring it to the design meeting and we'll work out how to make it happen.

  • Spas, slides, diving boards, water features, custom lighting, travertine decking, stone coping and more. We'll walk through the options during your consultation and design around how your family plans to use the space.

  • Once your pool is full and ready, we sit down with you for Pool School — a hands-on walkthrough of how all your equipment works, so you start ownership confident and in control.

Equipment & Operating Costs

  • Pentair — high quality and known for reliability and performance. It's the equipment we'd put on our own pools, because we have.

  • It depends on the specifics — your equipment choices, pool size, how you heat it, and how often you run it. There's no one-size-fits-all number, but we're glad to walk through what to expect for your particular setup during your consultation.

Renovations

  • In most cases, no. Renovations typically don't require permits or HOA approval the way new construction does, which means we can often start sooner.

  • Almost always. New tile, coping, decking, plaster, and updated Pentair equipment can make a decades-old pool look and run like new — usually for far less than building from scratch.

  • Doing it all at once is the better value. Spreading a renovation out over several years means paying for repeated setups and mobilizations, and you live with a half-finished backyard in the meantime. One coordinated renovation gives you a cohesive result and a better price.
